Rosetta Genomics locates R&D facility in 3711 Market Street
The 2008 winner of The Wall Street Journal's Technology Innovation Award in the medical/biotech category, Rosetta Genomics (Nasdaq: ROSG), a leading developer of microRNA-based molecular diagnostics, recently located its US research and development facility to 3711 Market Street a new world-class office and laboratory building, located in the University City section of Philadelphia.. The building was developed by a joint venture of the Science Center and Wexford Science+Technology
Founded in 2000, Rosetta Genomic’s integrative research platform combining bioinformatics and state-of-the-art laboratory processes has led to the discovery of hundreds of biologically validated novel human microRNAs. Building on its strong IP position and proprietary platform technologies, Rosetta Genomics is working on the application of these technologies in the development of a full range of microRNA-based diagnostic tools. The company's first three microRNA-based tests, miRview(TM) squamous, miRview(TM) mets, and miRview(TM) meso, are commercially available through its Philadelphia-based CLIA-certified lab.
